Last thing id like to add is the medicine glycopylorrate is a prescription
drug here in the US you have two options one go to doctor tell her about your condition and request glycopylorrate but if you cant go to doctor because u dont feel comfortable and it becomes a vicious cycle because you have to see the doctor for the med but without the med you dont want to go in ive been there OR option two order the glycopyrrolate from canada where it is not considered a prescription the site is pharmacy.ca it is based in canada but they will ship here it is also legit website the website has a certified pharmacy building store i ordered my glycopyrrolate from there because my doctor wanted me to all kinds of tests so i went ahead and got my meds online the prices are decent but i know most ppl wont mind paying a little extra for to live a normal life im goin to warn everybody tho to order large amounts because if i dont take it i sweat and it takes foreveerrr to deliver.

Glycopyllorate look it up because it worked. I told myself i would write a post here if the
medicine worked for me i have hyperhidrosis excessive sweating on my face since everybody is different and this may not work for everyone ill provide some details about myself iv had this condition my whole life but only recently realized it was a medical condition three years ago. Like most my excessive sweating is triggered only in public and by analyzing when and where i sweat i found insight about myself for example i only sweat profusively on my face when i am in a stressfull situation. It doesnt matter what the temperature is cold or warm i sweat the same i start sweating if attention is on me or if i am talking to a hot girl and i feel unsure of myself i used to think it was social anxiety that made me sweat and tried sa meds such as xanex and mdma even though they help i didnt like having to depend on meds that fuck with my mental process but i later found out the cause of my social anxiety was actually caused by my hyperhidrosis not the other way around i am anxious in social situation because i am always worried about sweat pouring off my face like a waterfall whenever i begin to sweat from the face i feel a rush of heat like my body just got real hot real quick and then the sweating starts as soon as i feel sweat beads on my head i start sweating more so the sweat just potentiates itself in a dreaded loop i sweat because i know im sweating. After taking 4.5 mg of glycopyrrolate it doesnt happen i still get the rush of heat internally but now that doesnt translate to sweat if i take 3 mg i only sweat on my nose if i take 4.5 i dont even sweat at all now i can handle stressful situations and talk to people and hot girls without sweating balls and looking like an idiot because of my condition i tend to avoid people and social situations but now that i dont sweat like i used to i can begin to do and enjoy things i want to do this drug to me is a godsend for me on a scale of 1 thru 10 xanex was a 7 mdma(street bought) was 7.5 but glycopyrrolate is a definite 10 no question. The side effects are mild first day on 4.5 mg made my mouth ungodly dry and i felt that when i exerted myself the heat builted up but by the third week 4.5 was perfect the side effects were basically non existent my mouth wasnt dry only my lips and wen i do sweat i sweat NORMALLY and thats when i am working out i know from reading alot of the post that most if not all of you couldnt care less about the mild side effects versus the drugs ability to let u live a normal lifestyle so give it a try. On a side note i have mild hyperhydrosis on my hands to 3mg takes care of that without any side effects.

After five years of being miserable my doctor is finally seeing this as a problem. Mine may be caused by a medication he has taken me off of (Metoprolol) and I pray he's right. I'm 55 and well pass menopause. I've actually had store clerks and customers offer to call an ambulance for me. My hair gets soaking/dripping wet. My face is cherry red. People move away from me like I'm sick or some kind of druggie going through withdrawals. Yes, I actually had a store manager state that to me, never mind I'm well dressed carrying a lace handkerchief. My friends think I'm making too much of it. Thank all you kind people for sharing -your stories. I'm sorry you're suffering this too but grateful to know there are others who understand and appreciate how much this ruins your day to day living. Good luck everyone.

I am only 22. I have been sweating profusely since I was 2nd grade. And it's nit just a little bit of sweat. I am on my colleges debate and speech team. I wear suits almost every weekend. After about an hour, even my suit jacket is soaking wet. I have to make sure I wear clothes that don't shownsweat easily. Such as blacks, dark drowns, dark blues. I almost never get to wear bright colors like I love. And it doesn't get better in winter. I sweat when it's 20 outside and snowing. I sweat while waiting to shower, during the shower and after it. I get almost no relief. It gets so bad that I have to make sure there is a fan or a clear shot to a bathroom everywhere I go. I am not
Super obese, either. I have some fluff but my weight mostly comes from my height and my size from my bone structure. (I'm extremely barrel chested naturally and have thicker bones than most men do.) My two real vices in life are soft drinks (I am addicted to soda!) and salty foods, like olives and pickles.

I can't believe there are so many people suffering from the same disease as me! I had this illness since birth (now my 3yr old cousin has it too, when he jump around, he sweats on the whole hair and forehead, neck and back just like me) I did a research a year ago on wikipedia after knowing what the disease is called, and they didn't provide much help, stating that it only affects 1/1million people, I am 23 and I dare tell you I have not met a single person who sweats more than me! (except for my baby cousin because he is suffering the same thing as me!) Today I went out with this girl, I sweated profusely in the arcade when she talked to me! My face flushed and I barely paid any attention to her due to being dizzy and worrying about the embarassment! Despite standing below the very cold a/c, I can only try taking small slow breaths while she is not noticing, applying everything I learnt like, thinking calmly, not caring what people think/say, and hoping for the time to go home! Dates are suppose to be fun, but not for us!

I sort of figured my way out of this sweaty situation with a bit of cognitive behavioral therapy. and yes, I am one of those people that sweats at the slightest amount of humidity. the only relief i got was from excessive exercise...which helped reduce my internal level of arousal

I am actually a 30 something male health care professional and was pretty sure right from the start of my symptoms that there was no physical reason for my sweating, it was all tied to some form of "arousal of the sympathetic nervous system" - as non-operationally defined as that it. Why am i perfectly fine at home, yet you put me in work place and i get hot flushed etc.....(I am going to be judged, evaluated, someone may violate my personal space....notice my sweating...all things that heighten my level of arousal)

if most hyperhydrosis isnt caused by an anxiety disorder, then the anxiety most people suffer from the sweating creates a positive feed back loop that makes the sweating worse.

The key to getting out of this problem is
identifying the thoughts and situations that set you off and also breaking the link between physical sensations and the emotional burden you have placed on them. put me in an emotionally charged situation and I could sweat thru a heavy knit sweater.....

Im not saying there aren't situations where i relapse, but I have learned to identify the triggers and can cool things off.

The other thing that is important to realize is that after you start sweating, dont run off, you need to do a shame attacking exercise. Sit there and deal with it, knowing you will not die. Stop assuming everyone thinks the worst of you when you sweat, you cannot read peoples minds. Look around, notice how many other people sweat, what do you think they are thinking about

Also develop a simple morning routine of self talk, making yourself aware of the fact that you might find yourself in a situation that heightens your level of arousal and that you shouldnt over react.

If your hyperhydrosis isnt caused by a social phobia initially, you can be pretty sure there is a social phobia/anxiety associated with it now - deal with those and the problem will get better.

and exercise properly for god sake....

I cannot say much more then anyone has already written, but this condition is somewhat debilitating for me. It does not help I live in the south, but I began this profuse sweating on my face, neck and head just a couple of years ago. I am 58, so of course I thought it was hormonal. After reading all of the above comments, I am now not sure the cause or why I have been literally cursed with this. I do find that if I am in a social setting where I am not comfortable and add heat and humidity to this, I am drenched..I also carry a little portable fan everywhere and if someone starts to snicker at me I just say, "o, having a hot flash"...usually that keeps them from staring...I do believe I will mention this to my doctor on my next visit..thanks to all of you for posting your condition and to realize we are not alone in this quest to stop sweating so much..If by chance I find a solution I will definately pass it on...

I also suffer from hyperhydrosis of the head and face. Now that I am retired I mostly just live with it and try to stay in air conditioning, but when I was working as a flight attendant it had a negative impact on my job. My docter prescribed DrySol to be applied to the scalp once a month. I left in on overnight and washed my hair the next morning. Althought it burned and itched, it actually made a big difference. I think this is by prescription only, so get your doctor to write a script for you. Another trick I learned is to take a thermos jug filled with ice and a ziplock bag when I know I will be somewhere uncomfortably hot. Then I can make myself an ice pack to apply to my "bad back". No, I don't really have a bad back. Good luck.

There are many cures out there that you can try. But you have to remember that not everyone has the same sweating problems. Some people sweat around the neck and face, some just on the palms of their hands.

I am a female that sweat so bad. It is embarassing. I walk around with a towel all day. My face & neck sweat all day. It is a hinder to my social life, and I hate to go out socially. I am fearful about dating. My doctor has put me on Effexor which is an antidepressant. The doctor thinks that it will help me from sweating. I have been on this medicine for a month, and no relief. She just doubled my dose today.
