Well folks, just home from been out with my wife for the last 4 hours in Dubai...NOT A DROP OF SWEAT..These tables are SUPER :-). Just took two 5mg today. one at 2pm and one at 6.30p. Completely dry free and had a few beers watching FA Cup final. Thank god after a very long road i can now start enjoying life...sorry to say, but i did always enjoy life and move to dubai 4 years ago from wet ireland to the heat to see would that help my sweat condition. But no it didnt, but everybody out here sweat anyway because of the heat... So for me i do feel a bit normal some times :-). Hope this helps other to solve their sweat conditions. Again I repeat DO NOT GO FOR KEY HOLD SURGERY! IT WILL MAKE OTHER AREAS WORSE! I spent thousands of euros on every treatment you can think of and they all just have a quick fix for our sweat conditions. If i could wind back the clock, i would not have gone for key hole surgery or botox treatment. Hopefully this tables will be a long term fix for me and others. I didnt inform my doctor yet, but will when home in August. Before i go, if anyone needs advise or info from me, please feel free to leave a message and i will reply someday. AGAIN DONT GIVE UP... I suffered for 17 years and i new some day it would go away. I am a catholic, i prayed several times that God would cure me from my condition. I even travlled to Lourdes, France for some help. Well i can now say my prayers were answered.

Finally after 17 years of sweating! I'm sweat free :-) ... Thanks to all who mentioned the tablets Oxybutynin Hydrochloride 5mg. I have tried everything from key hole chest and underarm surgery at the age of 25. It did stop my face and hands and underarm sweating. But other parts of my body increased like having a wet shower :-( . I was completly wet in seconds, all over, except my face and hands were always dry.! I then spent money on botox for underarm sweating! A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Never worked for me, I am now 35 years of age and live in Sunny Dubai and work in conditions above 50 degrees c.
If going anywhere, i also carried in my car, 3 same type shirts and several under t-shirts to change into every 30 mins or so. I am not nervous or shy in any way. I just work around my condition.
Finally i am one week on the above named tablets and i feel like a nornal person for the first time in my life. My good wife cannot believe how dry my skin feels after so many years.:-) ..Also, i was out last night with my friends in temp above 20, drinking about 6 pints of beer, with no side effect:-) happy days....
The tablets can be got over the counter over here (without precription :-) ...) for approx 56 AED or 11 or 12 euros for 56 tables.

I also 'suffer' from hyperhidrosis which was seemingly exascerbated after an operation on the cervical region of my spine. However I am an avid runner who has participated in many half marathons and a few marathons. Running still plays an important part of my exercise regime and hence the ‘drugs have been recommend in the discussions above may not be appropriate for me as heat stroke will definitely ensue when (not if) I get dyhehydrated. Is there a dietary solution i.e. increase in salts, reduction in spicy foods, etc, etc?

I have had bad sweating of the head, face and neck now for over 1 year. Lately it has gotten much worse and I am finely making an appointment with my new doctor. The last doctor treated me for vertgo and the pills did not help. If anyone has help for me please let me know.

Hi everyone,

I have had hyperhydrosis for pretty much all my life. There were times I felt so low that I couldn't have a normal relationship, spend time with friends, go out to restaurants, play sport,........you know what I am talking about.

Recently looking on Google I read about Avert/Rubinol.

I live in Australia but got online to a Canadian pharmacy who went through a questionnaire and further questions from their pharmacist ?

It has changed my life!

I only take it knowing I'm going to be in a situation where a personal waterfall isn't that attractive....and I stop sweating completely

Please do your own research as everybody is different, but as I said.....it has changed my life

Hi,
My name I's Erin and I'm 16. I am not overweight and I'm not way to skinny either. I have a vegetarian diet, but I still get all the vitamins and minerals and proteins that I need.
I sweat EXCESSIVELY, heck that doesnt even begin to describe how much I sweat. I sweat when I'm cold, when I'm hot, when I'm tired, when I'm hungry, when I'm at school, etc.
Of course, ironically I never sweat at home. When I am at school I'm afraid of doing the things tha I really love doing, like playing sports (it gets worst when I do play). I wear many layers and still PRAY that no one will see the stains under my arms and on my back. It's really embarrassing.
I've tried thousands of deodorants and anti-persperants, nothing seems to work.
Do I have hyperHidrosis? Or maybe my problem is more emotional? I just need answers and a solution. FAST!

I was 23 years old & 6 months after I gave birth to my first child I instantly began having a sweat attack. I remember it so clearly..it was so terrible. I thought I was getting sick. Maybe the flu. But then it went on and on and on and never went away! To sum it up, I've been dealing with hyperhidrosis for the past 6 years and it has been ruining my life to say the least. Everyday, everything revolves around this medical condition. It's rediculous but it does. I've tried a few prescriptions that didn't work for me-glycopyrrol,beta blockers, drysol. So I'm going to the doctor yet again to have the doc put me on a different prescription to try. I have the excessive sweating of the scalp, face, neck, trunk & groin. Soooo annoying! I really hope that one of these days I will be able to find that one drug that will atleast slow down this terrible, life ruining condition. I will write again after I find out if this new medicine works. Don't know what the doc will put me on but I'll try anything at this point. And I also pray that my beautiful children do not inherit this horrible condition. Xoxo

My very sincere appreciation goes out to each of you who bothered to blog about their sweaty situations! I felt like a freak before reading these posts! I tried the Drysol this weekend on my scalp, face (ouch!) and pits and I am so happy!!! It's not a total fix, but after one application the sweating was much less! I had a performance (music) on Sunday and was more worried about sweating than about getting the music right! I got the music right AND I didn't break out in a sweat all over my face!!! I did the second application last night. It was pretty miserable, got basically no sleep, like needles in my scalp and skin, but I lasted the required 6 hours. I think I'll be glad I did! I really don't know when I started this awful sweating, but I do know it's been going on for years and seems to be getting worse. Stay tuned and I'll update you on how the Drysol is working. By the way .... my doctor prescribed it over the phone with 12 refills, no questions asked (VERY SURPRISING) and my cost was only $3.79 for the prescription.

dear jennifer,
i know how you feel.....
Ive left two 'blogs' just recently, i too would rather sweat elsewhere, the worst bit about the 'pitt sweating' is when it freezes.
This isnt a cure, but as ive mentioned before, there is a drug called 'oxybutynin'. Ive just recently had a load of tests to see if there was an underlying illness,"there was'nt".. and on knowing this my GP prescribed the above drug........ !
Amazingly it works very well for me.. it could be a solution for you, even if only to get you through your design major..
I hope this is of use..
Dont give up on your dreams becouse of this condition.
Take care.......

I don't even know where to begin. I don't know when I started to sweat this much. And I honestly don't know what's causing it. I sweat under my arms....all...the...time. even during the winter, and worse during the summer. I sweat when i am doing NOTHING. I've started to realize I sweat less after I eat. and also when my guests aren't in my dorm, I'll relax a bit and not sweat at all. So as of now I guess it has something to do with my digestion and also my nerves. I'm in college and when i read a presentation in class, I got so nervous I could feel my pitts sweating and dripping to my sides. Honestly, I don't know what to do. nothing helps. I'm a fashion design major and I can't even wear the things I want to wear because I'm scared of my sweaty pitts. I'm about to give up. I don't want to get botox nor do any surgical procedure on my underarms -_-. I'll take meds, but that's the most I will do. I just feel that this isn't normal at all and just unfair. I'd rather sweat on my butt than my pitts.

I am 25 and have had HH for as long as I can remember. I also faint, presumably from dehydration. This has been hapening since I was in 8th grade. It happens once every couple of years. To be honest, it's not the only reason I faint. I sometimes faint when getting shots (but this doesn't really happen anymore).

I fainted once during work hours a couple years ago and was sent to the ER. I hit my head when I fainted and fell but doctors didn't even examine the lump on my head. I told them I sweat a lot, year-round, and so they just assumed the syncope was due to dehydration and gave me fluids. This past year I was drinking wtih friends and fainted (at this point I feel it coming on and warned them so they were able to keep me from falling and hitting my head) but I also seized while unconscious. Not only was this embarrassing because my friends had to unexpectedly take care of me, and I had to admit I didn't know what exactly was wrong with me. Other than having HH and not being sufficiently hydrated, I can't explain these episodes.

I'm adopted and met my biological parents in 2009. Upon meeting my biological father, who had lymphoma, he told me my hands were very cold. I told him I sweat a lot and he told me did too. I have not spoken to him about this issue for many reasons. Is it possible that my case of HH is so severe this is normal? I have never met anyone else with the same problem.

I live in southern USA, it's already 80+F during the day and I dread the summer. As much as I fear needles, I'm considering Botox. I'm also considering Robinul but I'm afraid that it might make me faint (side effects= dizziness/confusion). Has anyone had similar experiences or have any suggestions?

I am 25 and have had HH for as long as I can remember. I also faint, presumably from dehydration. This has been hapening since I was in 8th grade. It happens once every couple of years. To be honest, it’s not the only reason I faint. I sometimes faint when getting shots (but this doesn’t really happen anymore).

I fainted once during work hours a couple years ago and was sent to the ER. I hit my head when I fainted and fell but doctors didn’t even examine the lump on my head. I told them I sweat a lot, year-round, and so they just assumed the syncope was due to dehydration and gave me fluids.
hello again,
As above, id mentioned that i was about to start taking a drug called 'oxybutynin'... !
Well..., although this may disapoint some people ( the ones that have tried this drug ) and have not found it to work..
From the very first one ( one three times a day ), it worked

It has now been a week, and tonight i went out to a friends house, who have the heating on far too high, i did sweat a little under my arms, but as it should be, infact like it used to be before i had my accident ( spinal injury )...
This has been the best week ive had in 17 years, i cant believe ive had to put up with this all this time!
I first noticed this back in 1995 (2years after my accident), i had a grey t-shirt on and it was soaking, and it got worse and worse, living in scotland at the time didnt help this either, i just happend to move there just as the worst ever winter was to break out 95.96, it was that cold -28 "i kid you not.."
This cold weather added to my back injury and damaged my 'sympathetic' nerve, this is the one that controls the body's thermostat/temperature...
I had all the usual tests back in 1998, (from my bloodworks right through to my heart, everything)...it all came back negative, a clean bill of health ! But id be saying to myself, why am i still sweating so much ?.....
So nothing ever got done, getting my life back together after my accident hampered sorting things , coping with my back, which will always give me problems, but this sweating was driving me mad, and it was getting worse ...
LIFE ruining is an under statement..
2 weeks ago i had a panic attack, suspected heart attack ! was rushed into hospital, was down to stress, but again, whilst there, i was checked again for everything, and again was given a clean bill of health...
So i asked the docter at the hospital after explaing it all to him, and straight away he told me what was wrong with me....................!
BLOODY HELL, "parden my french" i cant believe ive had to suffer like this all these years, and then find out it could have been dealt with 14 years ago !
Believe me, im overjoyed, infact words cant describe how i feel, i feel like ive been given my life back..
But im also angry...... ive had no real life all these years, i feel like ive missed so much, ive got a lot of catching up to do.....
So to any one reading this, i hope it has some use, this drug is brilliant, ive now got it on repeat prescription..
I also have to add this : my hyperhidrosis was severe and was definatly brought on by my bike accident, id damaged my back at the exact spot to do this damage to the sympathetic nerve, and that severe 'sub temperatures' like the ones i endured in scotland, can also damage the same nerve................ "this is called a cold injury"..
Ive just noticed, the entry before this also mentions the same drug 'oxybutynin'

SIDE EFFECTS of oxybutynin: dry mouth..you can use diabetic sweets to solve this, so not a problem.

(if it ever stops working i will come back on here, and if i find out any more info or help i will also come back on here)

lastly i appologise if any of what ive wrote upsets anyone.
Take care every one....help will reach you.
